About TrickleDown.io
TrickleDown.io is a free satirical clicker game. You pick a fictional billionaire, grab the dollar bills clenched in their fist, and pull until the money finally trickles down, one dollar at a time. Upgrade from $1 bills to briefcases, gold bars and island deeds, catch leaked files for a 7x frenzy, and keep going until they're bankrupt.
Why we made it
"Trickle-down economics" promises that wealth at the top eventually flows to everyone else. We wanted a game where you get to help it along, with your mouse. It's a cartoon, it's meant to make you laugh, and underneath the jokes it asks one question: what could that money do if it actually moved?
That's why the Stats page turns your total into things like teacher salaries, school meals and library books. The numbers are illustrative, but the scale is the point.
The billionaires
Seven made-up tycoons, each with their own grip, excuses and epilogue: Brock Ledger III, Sen. Pat Porkbarrel, Gwendolyn Glow, Barry Blockchain, Chad Moonshot, Rex Crude and Margaret Megamart. They're all fictional. None depicts or refers to a real person or company, and nothing in the game is a statement of fact about anyone. It's a parody of extreme wealth in general.

TrickleDown.io is made by Shinobit LLC, an independent game studio in Sacramento, California, and the makers of GoBattle.io. It's built with WebGL (PixiJS), and the sounds are synthesized live in your browser.
